Confirm the correct finish before ordering Check your appliance's model information and original finish to confirm that 285006 is the appropriate paint. Black appliance finishes can differ in shade and sheen; do not assume it matches every black refrigerator or dishwasher.

Application guidance Follow the instructions on the can for surface preparation, application, ventilation, and drying. Whirlpool specifies that this spray paint must not be used where it may contact refrigerator door gaskets. Protect gaskets and adjacent surfaces from overspray.

How to find your model number For refrigerators, check the model label inside the fresh-food compartment. For dishwashers, look along the door edge or tub frame. Use the complete model number when checking the recommended maintenance materials for your appliance.
