To find the right part, start with your appliance model number. Model numbers are usually located on a label or plate inside the appliance, around the door or lid, behind panels, or on the back of the unit. Check your owner’s manual if you still have it.
For many appliances, you can find the model number in these common spots:
Refrigerators: Inside the fresh food section, on the side wall, ceiling, or behind the crisper drawers
Dishwashers: Around the door frame or along the tub edge
Ranges & Ovens: Behind the oven door, inside the storage drawer, or on the frame
Washers & Dryers: Under the lid, around the door opening, or on the rear panel
Microwaves: Inside the door, on the frame, or on the back of the unit
