GE Washer Drain Pump - WH23X28418

Restore washer drain performance with this genuine OEM GE Washer Drain Pump - WH23X28418. This pump removes wash and rinse water from the tub during drain and spin portions of the cycle.

WH23X28418 is a genuine GE washer drain pump used when the original pump is leaking, seized, noisy, or unable to evacuate water correctly.

Compatibility: Fits select GE, Hotpoint, RCA, Americana, and related washer platforms where the model diagram calls for this exact pump assembly.

Fitment / What To Verify: Verify the full washer model number, pump connector, hose ports, mounting style, voltage, and whether a clogged hose, coin trap, or blocked standpipe caused the drain failure before ordering.

Please confirm fitment with your appliance model number before ordering.

Is it time to replace?

• Common Symptoms: Washer will not drain, stops with water in the tub, drain pump hums, leaks underneath, or spin is delayed because water remains in the basket.
• Visible/Sensory Cues: Cracked pump housing, seized impeller, water trails, debris in pump ports, burned electrical smell, or rattling/grinding during drain.

Pro Tip: Check the drain hose and pump inlet for coins, fabric, or debris before replacing the pump. A blocked hose can mimic a failed pump.
